5on1 Magazine is digital
5on1 Magazine is a digital publication, meaning it was created with the idea that it would never be printed on paper. Today the cost of printing and mailing a publication is cost prohibitive, and not affordable by the publisher.  Even if printed, there may not be enough bookstores selling adult materials to sell the publication.

How to submit a story
Please only send story files that have been created using a word processing program. All story submissions should be in English and only one story per file. Photo submissions should be a minimum 300 dpi. Please do not watermark, encrypt, password protect, or save your image files as a PDF.   We want to give credit to the photographer of photos, so please provide the photographers name and contact information. The act of submitting a photo or story file to 5on1 Magazine is granting us permission to include your work in a future issue of 5on1 Magazine. Please email each submission to submissions (at) 5on1 (dot) com.

5on1 Magazine is an adult publication containing gay and bisexual erotica. Although stories are fiction, story characters should not commit murder, suicide, or be involved in illegal activities. Illegal activities are things that could result in being arrested if committed by a real person. Stories should not include or involve infants, toddlers, or young children. The erotica in the magazine may include practices that some may consider to be risky, extreme, or taboo. In the future 5on1 Magazine will include multimedia material. Multimedia items may be submitted at any time but might not be immediately published in the magazine.

Photographs
Photographers are responsible for obtaining and retaining model information and releases.  Models should be adults and should look like adults.  Please do not submit images of infants, toddlers or children.  Please do not submit photos of models involved in illegal activities.  Photos of events are welcome but please do not submit photos of people who did not know they were being photographed.

Important stuff
Authors retain ownership, copyright and other interests and rights to their stories. Authors grants 5on1 Magazine non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and non-cancellable license to use, modify, reproduce, display, and distribute their work. You may license your stories to other publishers, doing so does not revoke the license granted to 5on1 Magazine. You do not need to ask for our permission to license your stories to other publications. Only submit content if you are the author, creator, owner, or have permission from the creator to submit the content. You may be asked to provide evidence of ownership of the items submitted.

Advertisements and Display Ads
5on1 Magazine is not ad supported. We accept ads a content for the magazine.  Display ads promoting upcoming events are welcome. Advertisements of products or services being provided by gay or bisexual individuals are welcome to be submitted and will be included in the magazine at the discretion of the editor.  Ads should be of interest to the readers of 5on1 Magazine and be consistent with the theme of the magazine. We will not include ads designed to promote “only” sites.  If you want to advertise your “only” site please do so using an article, story or photo spread.

Compensation for content
5on1 Magazine does not contain paid advertising that generates revenue and the magazine is distributed free of charge. At this time, we cannot afford to compensate content creators for their work.
